PART 1 — THE STORY
Exfoliation is one of the oldest acts of skincare — practiced long before the word existed. Rosina knew this. The minerals of the Mediterranean, the abrasive kindness of sea salt, the nourishing oils pressed from fruit and seed: these were the tools of a skincare tradition that understood that sometimes the skin needs help releasing what it is ready to shed.
The Acquavena Organics Body Polish is a refined expression of that tradition. Ultra-fine sea salt provides the exfoliant — precise in its crystal size, gentle enough for regular use, effective enough to reveal a genuine improvement in skin texture with each application. Organic botanical moisturizers deliver hydration simultaneously, so the Polish does not leave the skin tight or stripped. What remains after rinsing is skin that is not merely cleaner — it is visibly smoother, more luminous, and deeply nourished.
Available in four expressions: BAMBU (lemongrass & ginger), FLORAE (lavender & rose geranium), PEACE (frankincense & cedar), and PURO (fragrance-free).
PART 2 — KEY INGREDIENTS & THEIR BENEFITS
The Body Polish centers on two complementary actions: the physical exfoliation of ultra-fine sea salt, and the simultaneous delivery of targeted skin nutrition through organic botanical oils.
Sea buckthorn is the standout hero of this formula — and one of the most nutritionally dense botanicals in botanical skincare. Derived from the bright orange berry of the Hippophae rhamnoides shrub, sea buckthorn oil carries an extraordinary concentration of skin-active compounds: omega-3, -6, -7, and -9 fatty acids in a single oil (a rarity in nature), fat-soluble vitamins A, C, D, E, and K, and a suite of carotenoids including beta-carotene and lycopene. Omega-7, in particular — abundant in sea buckthorn and almost nowhere else in the plant kingdom — has been studied for its role in supporting the skin's mucosal layers and promoting the regeneration of epithelial tissue. For skin that needs renewal, sea buckthorn is one of the most complete natural tools available.
The organic moisturizer base — including grapeseed and coconut oils — ensures that as the salt exfoliant lifts away dead surface cells, the fresh skin beneath is immediately bathed in protective, nourishing lipids. This simultaneous action prevents the post-exfoliation tightness common to salt scrubs that rely on exfoliation alone, and makes the Body Polish genuinely conditioning rather than simply abrasive.
Ultra-fine sea salt itself contributes beyond its physical exfoliant role: naturally high in magnesium, potassium, and sodium, it delivers a mineral charge to freshly exfoliated skin — a brief ionic exchange that supports the skin's osmotic balance and leaves it feeling measurably alive.
PART 3 — HOW TO USE
- Best used in the shower or bath, on wet skin.
- Scoop a generous amount into your palm and apply to skin in slow, circular motions — working upward from the feet toward the heart.
- Focus on areas of rougher texture: shins, elbows, knees, upper arms, and the décolletage.
- Allow the oils to absorb briefly before rinsing — 60 seconds of contact time maximizes the sea buckthorn and moisturizer benefit.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water. The shower or bath floor will be slippery — exercise care when stepping out.
- For best results, use 2–3 times per week. Regular exfoliation accelerates the renewal of the skin's surface layer, improves the absorption of moisturizers applied afterward, and maintains an even skin tone over time.
- Follow with the Hand & Body Lotion on slightly damp skin for a complete exfoliation-and-hydration ritual.
