Triple Carotenoid Radiance Complex

Three of nature's most radiance-rich botanicals arrive in every bar. Turmeric root extract brings curcuminoids — potent anti-inflammatory brighteners used for centuries across Ayurvedic and Italian herbal traditions. Sea buckthorn CO₂ contributes omega-7 fatty acids and carotenoids, the pigments responsible for the oil's unmistakable golden-orange depth. Rosehip seed oil is added post-cook at the mashing stage as a fully unsaponified superfat — 2% of the bar by weight, untouched by lye, arriving on your skin intact — carrying beta-carotene and vitamin A precursors including trans-retinoic acid. Together, they form the triple carotenoid radiance complex that defines this bar.

Botanicals & Base

Underneath sits the same conditioning five-oil base that runs through every Acquavena cleansing bar: coconut oil for lather, palm fruit and cocoa butter for hardness, shea butter for skin softness, and castor oil to bind and boost the foam. The water phase is infused with dandelion root, burdock root, and green tea — brewed into the lye water before the cook begins so their bioactives are woven into the soap matrix itself. Dandelion root reinforces the brightening story. Burdock brings sebum balance and anti-inflammatory calm. Green tea adds antioxidant depth.

The Scent

The scent is warm and luminous: grapefruit and mandarin for radiant top notes, geranium for a green-floral heart, ylang ylang for golden depth. Benzoin resinoid anchors the blend — its warm, vanilla-balsamic base extends the fragrance and complements the bar's golden colour story. All essential oils are steam-distilled; grapefruit is specifically sourced as steam-distilled rather than cold-pressed to avoid photosensitizing bergapten.

How to Use

Wet skin with warm water. Work the bar between your palms or directly on skin to build a lather. Massage in gentle circular motions and rinse thoroughly. Pat dry. Keep on a draining soap dish between uses — the high palm and cocoa butter content makes this a hard, long-lasting bar when kept dry.

Hot-process crafted. The saponification reaction is complete before moulding, so every bar is pH-stable and ready to use from day one after its cure. Free from SLS, parabens, and synthetic preservatives. Cruelty-free and vegan.
