There is a particular kind of quiet that lives at the edge of still water, unhurried, unheld, deeply at rest. This bar was made to bring that feeling to your skin.

Still Waters is a deeply calming, restorative cleanse built around botanicals chosen for one shared purpose: to settle reactive, sensitive, and overtaxed skin back into ease. Two forms of chamomile (Roman and German) work together to quiet inflammation and soften redness. Calendula brings its golden, skin-soothing warmth. Lavender and neroli bring a soft, luminous floral depth to the lather. Benzoin resin, drawn from the Styrax tree, wraps it all in a faint warm sweetness that lingers like an exhale.

The water in this bar isn't water. It's a blend of three botanical infusions: green tea, dandelion root, and burdock root, simmered separately and combined before the soap is crafted. Rosehip seed oil goes in post-cook, fully intact, carrying its essential fatty acids and vitamin A precursors directly into the finished bar. Frankincense works quietly on skin tone and resilience throughout.

Still Waters is for the skin that has seen too much: too much weather, too much stress, too much stripping. It asks nothing of you except to slow down and breathe.

The Botanicals

Calendula (Calendula Officinalis Flower Powder)

Added as a visible flower powder after cooking, so the heat-sensitive flavonoids and carotenoids survive intact. Calendula actively soothes skin during the cleanse. Particularly valuable after exfoliation or on skin that runs reactive. One of the most consistently studied botanicals for irritated skin.

Roman Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis)

A premium essential oil prized for its concentration of esters, which directly quiet inflammation and calm redness. Added at the mashing stage to preserve its heat-sensitive compounds. Works in tandem with German chamomile extract for a dual-chamomile calming effect that covers both the fragrance and the active botanical function.

German Chamomile Extract (Matricaria Chamomilla)

Bisabolol-rich. Bisabolol is the compound responsible for chamomile's well-documented skin-calming properties. The extract form delivers concentrated bioactives, not just fragrance character. Added post-cook.

Neroli (Citrus Aurantium Amara)

Steam-distilled from bitter orange blossom. Supports cell regeneration and brings a quiet radiance to dull or fatigued skin. One of the more costly essential oils in the collection. It's here because nothing else does what it does.

Frankincense (Boswellia Carterii)

Tones and supports long-term skin resilience. Well-documented in botanical skincare for its effect on elasticity and skin tone. Adds a warm, resinous depth to the fragrance that complements the benzoin base.

Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa Canina)

The sole superfat, added post-cook and fully intact. Essential fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamin A precursors. The anti-aging anchor of the bar, conditioning skin after cleansing without adding any heaviness.

The Fragrance

Lavender: soft, herbal, anchoring. Roman Chamomile: warm, apple-like, gently sweet. Frankincense: resinous, woody, grounding. Neroli: luminous, citrus-floral, delicate. Benzoin Resin: warm, balsamic fixative that holds the blend on skin long after rinsing.

Soft from the first lather. Floral without being sweet. Wears like something you'd want to hold onto.

How to Use

Wet skin with warm water. Rub the bar between palms or directly onto skin and take your time building the lather. Massage in gentle circular motions, then rinse thoroughly. Pat dry. Store on a draining soap dish between uses. Suitable for face, body, and hands.
