About This Vessel
Sage is one of the oldest plants in the healer's garden. Rosina grew it along the stone wall behind the kitchen in Acquavena — gray-green leaves, dusty and fragrant, rubbed between the fingers for everything from sore throats to tired hands. Salvia is named for that plant and for what it represents: memory carried forward through touch.
This vessel sits on three small hand-formed feet that lift it just above the surface, the way sacred objects are lifted. The upper dome is celadon sage-green, carved with a loose leaf motif and studded with small glaze pearls that formed spontaneously in the firing — no two alike. A golden-olive band marks the vessel's equator. Below, the body drops into deep navy, almost black, rich and still.
It is the most botanical of the collection in its coloring. Set it on stone, or oak, or next to a sprig of fresh sage. It will look as if it has always been there.
Care
Hand wash only. Do not submerge or place in dishwasher. Stoneware is water-resistant and will deepen beautifully with age and use.
One of one. When sold, this vessel leaves the collection.
